Manipulation of the spine and extremities

Manipulation is the main form of treatment used by a chiropractor. This involves finding areas of the spine and/or the extremities where the joints have restricted motion or minor malposition. The chiropractor then uses a specifically oriented thrust to correct the restricted motion.

Our main treatment technique is called Diversified Technique.  Diversified Technique is an original chiropractice technique and the most common technique.  Since it is a combination of adjustment maneuvers, it can be tailored to the patient's problems rather than the patient having to conform to a specific manipulation technique.

Adjunctive Procedures

Adjunctive procedures such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation are a complement to manipulation. These help in reducing irritation, pain, an muscle spasm, as well as aiding in general relaxation.

Specific exercise instruction

Exercise instruction is often given to augment healing and to attempt to prevent
re-occurrences.

Nutritional advice and supplementation recommendations are sometimes given to support chiropractic treatment.
